Feed the Street Project
Spreading Love, One Meal at a Time
Overview
While the holiday season is a time of joy for many, it’s also a painful reminder of hardship for those living on the streets, orphans, the homeless, displaced persons, and vulnerable families without access to food or shelter. At Tasieobi Global Foundation, we believe no one should be left behind during this season of giving.
The Feed the Street Project, held every December, is our year-end outreach dedicated to restoring dignity, love, and hope through food, clothing, and compassionate interaction. What began as a simple gesture has grown into a movement of generosity that touches hundreds of lives each year.
Why This Matters
Hunger and homelessness are daily struggles for many people across Nigeria. During festive periods, when families gather around food and warmth—those in extreme poverty often feel invisible and forgotten.
This initiative reminds them that they are seen, they are valued, and they are not alone.
Program Components
Community Feeding
We organize large-scale street outreaches in cities and underserved communities where we: Distribute thousands of hot, nutritious meals prepared with love; Set up serving stations or mobile food carts to reach busy junctions, slums, and bus terminals; Provide refreshments, snacks, and clean water for both children and adults. Volunteers engage warmly with beneficiaries, making the experience not just about food, but about sharing joy and dignity.
Clothing & Essentials Distribution
In addition to meals, we hand out items that help people survive the harsh realities of life on the street, including: Warm clothing, blankets, and footwear; Personal hygiene kits (toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, sanitary pads, etc.); Children's wear and toys for street children; Mosquito nets and sleeping mats (when available). These items help protect against cold weather, illness, and poor hygiene, especially during harmattan.
