Restoring Hope for the Incarcerated
A Pathway to Redemption, Skills, and Reintegration
Overview
At Tasieobi Global Foundation, we believe that everyone deserves a second chance. For incarcerated individuals, life after prison can be overwhelmingly difficult, especially without adequate preparation or support.
Our Prison Outreach and Skills Empowerment Program is a targeted initiative focused on providing life-changing interventions to inmates nearing the end of their sentences. Conducted annually in January and February, the program aims to prepare participants for successful reintegration into society by equipping them with practical skills, mentorship, and a restored sense of dignity.
Why This Matters
Incarcerated individuals often return to a society that stigmatizes them, leaving them vulnerable to unemployment, homelessness, and reoffending. Without intervention, the cycle continues. This program is designed to break that cycle by helping inmates transition from correction to contribution, from feeling forgotten to becoming empowered citizens capable of transforming their own lives and giving back to their communities.
Program Components
Skills Acquisition Workshops
We organize on-site training sessions led by certified instructors in correctional facilities.
Personal Development & Counseling
Participants receive personal growth and reintegration support
Starter Kits & Post-Release Support
Upon completion and release, qualified participants receive Starter packs or seed capital to begin a small enterprise and a follow-up support framework (where possible) to help them stay on track and also referrals to community-based organizations or vocational centers.
Community Reintegration & Advocacy
We also conduct community awareness campaigns to reduce stigma and promote acceptance of ex-offenders. These activities aim to help families, employers, and local leaders see the value in supporting former inmates rather than excluding them.
